An introduction to the representation of ethnicity in a range of media forms. The resource is designed to support the teaching of this key area of the theoretical framework in the new specification. The activities introduce learners to key areas of representation, including stereotyping, and explore a variety of representations of ethnic groups within different media forms and contexts. The interactive resources include several historical examples that consider the social, cultural and historical context of representations, and more contemporary examples that can be used to develop knowledge, understanding and analytical skills in class.
